The DSG800 is RIGOL's compact, economical RF signal generator, covering 9 kHz to 1.5, 2.1, 3 or 3.6 GHz depending on the model. RIGOL rates phase noise at -112 dBc/Hz typical, output power up to +20 dBm typical and amplitude accuracy within 0.5 dB typical, with AM, FM and phase modulation and flexible frequency and amplitude sweeps.
The A models (DSG821A, DSG836A) add IQ modulation for digital-modulation work, and the -OCXO versions add a high-stability timebase. An electronic attenuator avoids the wear of mechanical step attenuators, and the small case takes little bench or rack space.
