The DP832A is RIGOL's best-known bench supply in its high-resolution form: three outputs (30 V/3 A, 30 V/3 A and 5 V/3 A, 195 W total) with low-noise linear regulation, 0.1 mV/0.1 mA readback and LAN, RS-232 and digital I/O as standard. It powers most mixed-voltage prototypes from one instrument and measures what they draw.

Does it have overvoltage and overcurrent protection?
Yes. Over-voltage (OVP), over-current (OCP) and over-temperature (OTP) protection are standard, set per channel.
What's the difference between the DP832 and DP832A?
The DP832A adds finer readback (0.1 mV/0.1 mA vs 10 mV/10 mA), the recorder/analyzer/monitor/trigger functions, and LAN, RS-232 and digital I/O as standard.
Are the outputs isolated?
CH1 is isolated from CH2 and CH3, so it can be put in series or parallel with either of them. CH2 and CH3 share a common and can't be combined with each other. If your setup needs two floating rails, tell us and we'll suggest a fully isolated DP900 or DP2000 instead.
Is it programmable from a PC?
Yes, over USB or LAN with SCPI commands, or with RIGOL's Ultra Power software.
Does it come with a user manual?
RIGOL's in-box list is the power cord, USB cable, spare fuses and calibration certificate. The user guide and programming guide are free PDFs from RIGOL, linked under Documents on this page.
What do the A models add?
Finer readback resolution, the recorder/analyzer/monitor/trigger functions, and LAN, RS-232 and digital I/O as standard. On the non-A models those are optional.
